Kathleen Lloyd-Jones, MD, President
Kathleen joined the Angles Board in July of 2011. She currently serves as a physician at Northwestern University’s Student Health Services. Her volunteer work centers on local school events, and she also teaches Sunday School at Christ Church in Winnetka. Kathleen completed her Bachelor’s degree at Amherst College and her medical education at Albany Medical College. She lives in Winnetka, where she and her husband have three children in 4th, 9th, and 12th grade.
Rabbi Ari Moffic, Secretary
Ari joined the Angles Board in December of 2015. She was ordained at Hebrew Union College – Jewish Institute of Religion. A graduate of Indiana University, she received Master’s Degrees in Jewish Education and Jewish Studies from Baltimore Hebrew College. A native of Newton, MA, Ari has an extensive background in Jewish family education. Identity formation, modern interpretations of culture and religion, and making Jewish living accessible, relevant, and meaningful are the areas the drive and inspire Ari. With a special interest in working with interfaith couples and families, she currently serves as the Director of InterfaithFamily Chicago. Ari is married to Rabbi Evan Moffic, senior rabbi at Congregation Solel in Highland Park; they live in Highland Park with their two children.
Margaret Smith, Treasurer
Margaret Smith joined the Angles Board in October of 2015. She is a College and Alumni Senior Program Associate for the Schuler Scholar Program. At Schuler, Margaret manages transition to college programming, outreach and engagement, and professional development. In addition to her primary role, Margaret is proud to have developed an on-going allyship and LGBTQ+ competency training initiative for staff and Scholars. Margaret graduated summa cum laude from Skidmore College where she completed a double major in Gender Studies and Theatre Directing. Margaret is excited to bring her passions for youth development, LGBTQ+ advocacy, and sexual health education to Angles. Originally from Winnetka, Margaret now lives in Chicago’s Logan Square neighborhood.
Nathaniel joined the Angles Board in November of 2015. He is a professional fundraiser who is personally invested in organizations that provide health, education and human services to communities of need, including people with disabilities and the LGBT community. Nathaniel is a mental health advocate and serves as a young adult support group facilitator and Board member for the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI)−Cook County North Suburban chapter. He has done extensive work in foundation and corporate relations, grant development and strategic planning for Anixter Center, Children’s Home + Aid, and Chicago Lights at Fourth Presbyterian Church. Nathaniel holds a Bachelor’s degree in Urban Studies from Harvard University and a Master’s degree in Public Policy and Administration from Northwestern. He lives in Chicago.
Laura joined the Angles Board in March of 2011. She is the State Representative of the 17th District. Prior to being elected, she taught American Government and the Constitution in the Political Science department at Northeastern Illinois University. Laura holds a BA in Telecommunications from Indiana University, an MA in Political Science from Northeastern Illinois University and is a graduate of IWIL: the Illinois Women’s Institute for Leadership. Laura lives in Glenview with her husband and two teenage boys.
Loren Hutter, MD
Loren joined the Angles Board in July of 2005. He has been a volunteer with the organization since 1985, and has served as the volunteer Medical Director since 1995. He was in private practice for almost twenty years, and is now a senior attending physician at NorthShore University HealthSystem (Evanston and Glenbrook Hospitals), Director of the OB/GYN Physician Coverage Program at NorthShore University HealthSystem, and Associate Professor at the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine. Loren earned his Bachelor’s degree and also attended medical school at Northwestern University. He is married, lives in Wilmette, and has four adult children.
Tracy Lande, MA
Tracy joined the Angles Board in July of 2014. She is the Events Coordinator at Chicago Children’s Advocacy Center and is experienced in project management, educational programming, and strategic planning. Tracy has also worked at the Respiratory Health Association and as a volunteer with the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Tracy received her Bachelor’s degree in Film and Media studies from Washington University in St. Louis, and her Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Chicago School of Social Service Administration. In her spare time, Tracy enjoys dancing and participating in community theater musicals. She lives in Chicago.
